Mode Dry run (default) — preview only; no vault / index writes where supported Live — writes to the Knowledge vault / search index

Live sync embeds only new or body-changed files via OpenAI. The first run after an empty/sample index may still touch the full vault (large cost/time). Prefer a dry run first to see embed vs skip counts. Full wipe-and-re-embed is CLI --rebuild only.

Live Pass 2 / interlink on the full archive can take a long time and rewrite many markdown files.
